Become a BlackBizFest Volunteer

BlackBizFest volunteer opportunities are available for 2025. 

Volunteer

Your assistance will contribute to making BlackBizFest a remarkable cultural enrichment activity for our community, ensuring its success for years to come.

Join something significant – Volunteer! Choose the committee that aligns with your interests. Committee meetings commence in September. Upon your selection, the committee administrator will reach out to you. All Committees convene once and/or twice per month before the Festival, starting in September.

Sponsorship Committee

Provide guidance and support in preparing sponsorship applications and crafting compelling grant proposals. Develop and distribute comprehensive sponsorship packages. Welcome and ensure sponsors feel at ease during key events. Establish connections with sponsors post-Gather feedback and convey appreciation through thoughtful communications.

Program Events Committee

Support the planning of signature events and sub-committees, and actively participate in the setup and breakdown of chosen events. Collaborate with marketing and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination of event requirements.

Marketing & PR Committee 

Support social media posting across all platforms, generate content, and conduct analytics reporting. Engage with the virtual and physical community, manage calendar listings, and collaborate with videographers, photographers, and onsite media. Conduct pre and onsite interviews for various media channels, including TV, radio, digital, print, and surveys.

Logistics Committee

In charge of all logistical aspects related to Signature/Partner events, encompassing pre-event and onsite setups, break downs, and coordination of signage and deliverables.

Event Month Only

Register and volunteer for designated Signature/Partner events. Group registration is encouraged and can be submitted in a single entry.

Volunteer Committee

Assigned to coordinate with Marketing, Logistics and other festival needs, as assigned by Volunteer Committee coordinator(s).
